Obituary For Randy Roberts

Graveside services for Randy Ancil Roberts, age 64 of Yantis TX will be held at 2pm Sunday January 9, 2022 at Shooks Chapel Cemetery in Sulphur Springs TX with Brother Mike Fletcher officiating and Jack Newsom Jr and Garrett Lockhart assisting.  Garrett Lockhart, Hunter Crowson, Chuck Grant, Catan Runyan, Jay Jones, Anthony Haley, and Bruce Lockhart will be serving as pallbearers. No formal visitation will be held. Mr. Roberts passed away on Tuesday January 4, 2022 at Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas.

Randy was born on March 30, 1957 in Sulphur Springs TX to Robert “Bobby” Roberts and Ida Marvelle Young Roberts. He was a carpenter supervisor at Texas A & M- Commerce. He built many homes in and around Hopkins County and was known for his attention to detail and work ethic.  Randy married Judy Ann Ponder on November 12, 1993 in Las Vegas NV.

He is survived by his wife Judy Ann Roberts of Yantis. His 3 children, Monica Roberts Kendall and husband Anthony Haley.  Lesley Ann Grant and husband Chuck and Rowdy Crowson; sisters Delilah Roberts Henderson and Joy Roberts Shivers and Brother Mike Leonard and wife Brenda. Randy was a proud Pawpaw to his grandchildren, Kaci Jones and husband Jay, Garrett Lockhart and wife Katy, Hunter Crowson, Hannah Crowson, Cadence Runyan, Addey Ann Owens and Creedence Runyan, great grandchildren Ember and Eden Lockhart. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.  In addition, he is also survived by his cherished Malti-Poo, Charli Ann.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, brother Danny Leonard, grandparents Ancil and Jewell Roberts and Mr & Mrs Jewell Nichols and his faithful Maltese companion Melia Ann.
