Jordan Miesse was born and raised in Sulphur Springs. He graduated from Texas A&M-Commerce in 2007 with a BA in English and a minor in journalism. He has two children and has been teaching in Sulphur Springs for over a decade.

Miesse has been a fan of baseball since he was three years old, having now traveled to ten different major league stadiums. His favorite Ranger is Adrian Beltre.
