Obituary For John Colfax
Funeral service for John Colfax, age 55 of Cumby, TX will be held at 2:00P.M. on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with B.J. Smithers officiating, Interment will follow at Cumby Cemetery with Shannon Gaines, Asa Bloyed, Shawn Bloyed, Heath Petty, Jason Oxford and David Fyke serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00P.M. on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Colfax passed away on December 25, 2021 at Christus Mother Frances – Sulphur Springs.
John was born on May 23, 1966 in Fullerton, CA to Raymond Eugene and Orlena Celeste (McAdams) Colfax. He married Mistie Fyke on March 6, 2004 in Greenville, TX. John worked as a journeyman lineman. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 436.
He is survived by his wife, Mistie; daughters, Cayci Colfax and Kinley Colfax; sons, Dillan Colfax, Cohner Colfax and Taylor Hale; grandchildren, Eston Aten-Colfax, Hynzlee Colfax, Linkyn Colfax and Avarie Colfax; brothers, James McConnell and Robert Colfax; sister, Angela Colfax; father and mother-in-law, Charley and Wanda Clampitt.
John was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Stephen Colfax.
