On the evening of December 16, Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office took time to recognize all their outstanding deputies and support staff in 2021 with the annual Law Enforcement Awards Banquet. The following commendations were handed out:

Deputy of the year:

Zack Horne

Corrections officer of the year:

Jesse Kull

Communications operator of the year:

Brennan Murray

Criminal investigator of the year:

Shea Shaw

Steve Shing was recognized by the Hopkins County Law Enforcement Association for his work on the recent golf tournament.

Sharon Bennett, detention center nurse, was recognized for her contributions to the inmate population. 

“We are looking forward to serving you in 2022,” Sheriff Lewis Tatum said on social media. “Merry Christmas from the Sheriff and all of our Sheriff’s Office family.”
