Obituary For Wanda Lee (Jones) Pierce

Wanda Lee Pierce went to rest in the arms of her Savior on Monday morning, December 6, 2021, at age 88.  She was born in Dallas on March 15, 1933.  She lived most of her life in Dallas and enjoyed her later years in the country life of Emory, Texas.  Mrs. Pierce spent most of her life helping others by working as a caregiver.

Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Thelma Pollard and father, Raymond Pollard; husband Robert Pierce; brothers Jack Beckham and Willard Manus; daughter Cynthia Ann Welch; grandsons Michael Lance Welch, Kenneth Shane Philpot and granddaughter Carmen Lee Philpot.

She is survived by son Kenneth Lee Philpot and daughter-in-law Ellen Philpot; nephew Willard Manus and wife Heather; granddaughters Melissa Dawn Davis and husband Allen Davis; Emily Gayle Philpot-Cope; and great-grandsons Hayden and Brody Cope, Nathanial Davis, and Christian Welch; and son-in-law Richard Pierce.

Visitation will be Friday, December 17 at 10:00 at Wilson Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory followed by the service at 10:30.  Burial will be at Turner Cemetery in Emory.
