Obituary For Carolyn Avon (Schultz) Lile

Carolyn Avon Schultz Lile, 89, of Emory, Texas passed away Thursday December 2, 2021, in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

Carolyn, better known to family and friends as Granny, loved babies, dancing, and reading. Her home was often full of rodeo kids and her life was lively and welcoming. She was a great seamstress and crochet artist as well as a good cook. Her passion late in life involved genealogy and tracing the family roots.

Private Family memorial service later date.

Carolyn was born on May 8,1932 to John Calvin Schultz, Jr. and Vena Ione Oats in Charleston, Texas, they proceeded her in death as well as her husband Mack Hughlan Lile, and son Jerry M. Lile, daughter Gina Pat “Lile” Woody.

Survivors include son Larry M. Lile of Clever, Missouri, daughter Karen Jan Elmore of Emory, Texas, son Matt Wayne Lile of Clever Missouri, 15 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, George Cummings brother-in-law, and two nephews, Kyle, and Jon Cummings.
