Hopkins County Turkey Trot

Chili & Fried Chicken Contest
Pacific Park is hosting the 1st annual chili and fried chicken contest, November 19 and 20th! You can grab Chili on Friday night, or that fried chicken Saturday. Events start at 11 a.m. both days

Lion’s Club Annual Lighted Christmas Parade & Lighted Market
Friday, December 3 grab the family and friends, come downtown for the Lion’s Club Annual Lighted Christmas Parade and The Lighted Market for fantastic hand-crafted shopping on the Plaza. Market vendors will be ready for you at 5 p.m., and those amazing, creative floats begin rolling from Buford Park at 7 p.m.!
 
Blue Santa at Lion’s Lighted Parade
Bring an unwrapped toy to the parade for donation. Blue Santa is 89% of the way to their goal!

Main Street Christmas Market
The Christmas Market on Main Street, and all the fantastic décor, arts, and gifts will open at 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 4! Perfect day for great shopping, fabulous food and a little day drinkin’.
 
North East Texas Choral Society “Deck the Halls” Christmas Concert
The North East Texas Choral Society is back and ready to serenade the holidays with Deck the Halls. Performed at SSHS Auditorium December 4 at 7 p.m. and 5 at 2 p.m.!
 
North Pole of Texas 
December 4 & 5, 6-9 p.m. Free train rides, hot chocolate, light display, Santa’s toy shop, family photo backdrops
 
Christmas at Heritage Park
Hosted by the Hopkins County Historical Society at Heritage Park, enjoy a visit with Santa and live music and light displays. Roast marshmallows over an open fire and enjoy free hot cocoa, old fashioned cider, coffee and cookies. Christmas market available at the Country Store. November 27 and December 4, 5:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. Adults pay $3, children under 7 are free.

Wreaths Across America
Take a deep breath, and stop the pace for Wreaths Across America. December 18 at the City Cemetery starting at 11 a.m. Help remember and revere our fallen Veterans and their families.
 
Christmas Bike Giveaway with Roper & White Attorneys at Law
December 18  9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Roper & White Offices. Ages 3-10, only 1 bike per vehicle, pick up at 519 Oak Ave, 115 bikes, first come, first serve event. 
 
Muddy Jake’s Ugly Sweater Karaoke
December 18 from 7 p.m. – 12 a.m. at Muddy Jake’s Bar and Grill. Karaoke with Lonnie Fox and prizes for the winner.
