  • December (all month)– residents are encouraged to decorate their homes for the Holiday Home Contest
  • December 12– Judging of the Holiday Home Contest takes place
  • December 13– Christmas in the Park
    • 6 p.m.- Parade lineup at I-30 Fastmart
    • 6:30 p.m.- Parade begins at I-30 Fastmart and ends at BlackJack Grove Park
    • Post-parade- Elementary school Christmas program at BlackJack Grove Park
    • Winner of the Holiday Home Contest announced

Christmas in the Park will feature free hot chocolate and cookies for guests provided by Cumby Young Farmers, and Hopkins County Lodge 180 and Cumby FFA will serve hotdogs. Awards will be given for best parade float.

Holiday Home Contest criteria– Homes are judged on the criteria of most festive and most well-decorated. Decorations must remain up until judging on December 12. Prizes are awarded for first, second and third place, and will be given a commemorative yard sign to display and will also be featured on Front Porch News.
