Obituary For Dorothy “Dottie” Williams

Graveside service for Dorothy “Dottie” Williams, age 87 of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held Monday, November 8, 2021, at 3pm at Cumby Cemetery with Marvin Denison officiating. Mrs. Williams passed away on November 3, 2021 at Carriage House Manor in Sulphur Springs, TX.

Dorothy was born on June 13, 1934 in Camp County, TX to James Roy Fountain, Sr. and Lillie Lois (Baughman) Fountain. She graduated from Gilmer High School as Salutatorian. She married Lealon Edwin Williams in Dangerfield, TX. Dorothy held a Secretary position at TXI, Sammons Cancer Center and Xerox. In her early years she was a member of Ingelwood Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, TX. When Dorothy relocated to Cumby, TX, she became a faithful member of the local First Baptist Church. She enjoyed many of the scriptures and verses from the Bible.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Williams and wife, Janet of Cooper, TX, Phil Williams and wife, Vanessa of Sulphur Springs, TX;  daughter, Paula Denison and husband, Marvin of Houston, TX; sister, Marilyn Foster and brother Elmer Fountain; grandchildren, Amy Martini, Holly Sierty and six great grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband and six brothers and sisters.

Arrangements under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
