Funeral service for Jackie “Papa” Patterson, age 59, of Emory, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Bro. Richard Piles officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Jackie passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, at Christus Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs.

Jackie “Papa” Patterson was born November 30, 1961, in Lubbock, TX to James Patterson and Louise (Salyers) Nolen. He married Tracy Koerner on July 16, 1980, in Lubbock, TX. Jackie was a crane operator putting up wind generators by trade. However, his passion was his family; he always looked after them. Jackie was a member of the First Baptist Church of New Deal, TX and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, grilling and being outdoors.

Jackie is survived by his loving wife, Tracy, of Emory; daughter, Jennifer and husband, Jose Ramos, of Emory; son, Jeremy Patterson and wife, Tisha, of Emory; grandchildren, Tyler Mandrell, Riley Patterson, Amie Patterson, Jackson Patterson, Lexi Ramos, Matthew Ramos; sisters, Claudia Habbinga of Alba, Pamela Crisman and husband, Mark, of Yantis, Jamie McClanahan of Ft. Towson, OK; stepfather, Jessie Nolen of Alba.

He was preceded in death by his mother; father; granddaughter, Jaylinn Marie Patterson; sister, Debbie Rendleman; and brothers-in-law, Calvin Rendleman, Adam McClanahan, Kaydon Habbinga, and Danny Welch.
