Oh man oh man that Wildcat band!

The Wildcat marching band competed at the Area competition Saturday in Mesquite. With a field of 12 schools, in the conference 5A Area C Division, Sulphur Springs advanced to the final round. This is the first time the band has made it to the finals in the area competition while under the main direction of Spencer Emmert.  The band regularly competes and does well, earning Ones for their playing and marching.

After their second performance the Wildcat Band placed seventh. Not the number they were looking for but they felt great about their accomplishment of making it to area finals for the first time ever.  The band gave a great performace of their “Be Our Guest” marching piece with featured soloist.  The band has so much potential and growth, it will be great to see where they go from here.
