Cumby volleyball recognizes special teachers

The Lady Trojan volleyball teams recognized the faculty and staff of Cumby ISD between the junior varsity and varsity games on October 5, World Teacher’s Day.  The staff were recognized during a short ceremony during which  volleyball players presented the staff members with a personalized gift basket and letter of thanks.

  • Robert Cowden (Animal science): recognized by junior Heather McCraw
  • Lee Gifford (Chemistry): recognized by junior Kaylee Bloyed
  • Scott Mabe (High school business): recognized by junior Kelcie Fite
  • Melissa Johnson (AVID): recognized by freshman Macyn Pettit
  • Joanna Campbell (High school administrative assistant): recognized by sophomores Macie Morales and Lilly Campbell
  • Courtney Crumpton (Junior high English): recognized by freshman Jacie Morales
  • Megan Petty (Dean of Students): recognized by senior Savannah Kurn

The varsity team went on to win their match in all three sets versus North Hopkins. They have an 8-0 record.
