A Walk to Remember in 2019

A Walk to Remember benefitting Terrific Tuesdays is back after its COVID hiatus, although the format in 2021 will be a little different. Each local senior center will host their own ‘mini-walk’ for those not able to complete a lap around the downtown square. The traditional walk in downtown is still scheduled, and community members are invited to participate. Dates and places for each individual walk are listed below

  • Tuesday, Sept. 22- Wesley House
  • Wednesday, Sept. 23- Sulphur Springs Imaging Center
  • Friday, Sept. 24- Rock Creek
  • Monday, Sept. 27- Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab (a car parade is also planned)
  • Wednesday, Sept. 29- Hopkins Place (a car parade is also planned)
  • Thursday, Sept. 30- Senior Activity Center
  • Friday, Oct. 1- Sunny Springs
  • Thursday, Oct. 7- Main walk on the square 

Those wishing to participate are encouraged to wear purple, the color of Alzheimers and memory care awareness. T-shirts can be purchased by contacting the individual care home you wish to support.
