As of 8 a.m. on September 9, 2021, the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office completed the following: 215 non-emergency calls, 50 calls for service, 21 traffic stops and no inmate transports. They booked in 2 persons and released 6 persons.

  • Philip Ryan Gibson, 23, of Sulphur Springs, was booked in at 12:09 a.m. on Sept. 9 in the 300 block of Calvert Street for alleged possession of a schedule one controlled substance. Bond was not set.
  • Clifford Alan Plant, 62, of Winnsboro, was booked in at 11:45 a.m. on Sept. 8 at Carter and Calvert for an outstanding warrant from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for alleged violation of probation. Bond was not set.
