Obituary for Arlen Wells
Graveside service for Arlen Wells, age 90 of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 10:00A.M. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Laurel Oaks Cemetery with Jerry Savage officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Wells passed away on September 4, 2021 at his residence.
Arlen was born on August 25, 1931 to Coker Franklin and Lily Mae (Ailes) Wells. He married Cherry Lou Davidson on June 9, 1951 in Sulphur Springs, TX. Arlen retired from Red Ball Motor Freight and TXU Monticello Power Plant. He was a member of the League St Church of Christ.
He is survived by his sons, Ricky and wife, Susan and Monty and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Monica Ames and husband, Jason, Mandi Rose and husband, Marshall, Blake Wells and wife, Adrian and Cody Wells; great grandchildren, Presley, Lawson, Fisher and Ellie.
Arlen was preceded in death by his wife, Cherry; parents; four brothers and sisters.
