Sunny, clear Labor Day on horizon

Some counties to the south can expect rain, but Hopkins County is in for a sunny and clear Labor Day, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday is mostly sunny, with a high near 96.  Heat index values could reach as high as 101. Saturday night is partly cloudy, with a low around 76.

Sunday holds a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 1 p.m. and 1 a.m. Skies are sunny, with a high near 92. Heat index values could reach as high as 197. Sunday night has partly cloudy skies, with a low around 72.

Monday is mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Monday night is mostly clear, with a low around 69. Happy Labor Day!
