Sulphur springs council to consider tax rate, Pacific Park playground

The Sulphur Springs city council will review and set tax rates for the upcoming fiscal year at their Sept. 7 session, among other items of business. 

TAX RATES
The council intends to set tax rates for the following:

  • City of Sulphur Springs tax rate of $0.42692/$100
  • Water rate
  • Sewer rate
  • Sanitation rate

OTHER FINANCIALS
The council intends to discuss other financial matters:

  • Updated service credits
  • Police asset forfeiture budget
  • Economic Development Corporation budget
  • Annual investment policy
  • Contract for water materials for the College Street project
  • Playground equipment for Pacific Park
  • Master fee schedule for costs, fees, and rates associated with permitting, utility services, and other services provided by the city

REAL ESTATE/ CITY PLANNING
The council intends to discuss the following real estate/ city planning matters

  • 380 Agreement for property located at 410 Houston Street, Lot 1R
  • 380 Agreement for property located at 410 Houston, Lot 3R
  • 380 Agreement for property located at 447 Houston Street
  • 380 Agreement for property located at 219 Craig Street
  • Easement with ONCOR Electric Delivery LLC at Coleman Park Water Tower site
  • Rezone property located at 618 Oak Avenue, identified as Lot 10 A, Block 40 2
  • Rezone property located 125 Weaver Drive
