Funeral services for Linda Dixon Butler, age 60, of Greenville, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2021, at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Reilly Springs Cemetery with Audie Vick, David Poskey, David White, David Mayo, Billy Henderson, and Paul Simms serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 2, 2021, at West Oaks Funeral Home. Linda passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on August 14, 1961, in Del Rio, TX, the daughter of Bobby Floyd Dixon and Linda Jane Vaughan Dixon. Linda married Mike Butler on August 7, 1999, in Sulphur Springs, he survives. She worked as a superintendent for M.D. Butler Inc. for the last year.

There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do, she enjoyed crafts and cooking, and was a motorcycle enthusiast. Linda cherished her family and loved nothing more than bragging about her children and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Mike, Linda is survived by her children, Bobby Simms and wife Marianne of Richards, TX, Amanda Schaffer and husband Robert of Germany, Clint Butler of Dallas, TX, mother, Jane Dixon, brother, Harold Glenn Dixon of Sulphur Springs, and grandchildren, Sierra, Levi, and Luke Simms. She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Dixon and two brothers, John and Jeff Dixon.

Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
