With three races in the county approaching this November 2, 2021, filing deadlines for candidates are approaching or have passed. Below is information regarding the three fall elections and their candidates. CITY OF TIRA
According to city secretary Jan Vaughn, no candidates have filed papers to run in the Nov. 2 election. Three council places are up for election. The deadline to file is Friday, August 20. For more information contact the city at 903-438-6688.
North Hopkins ISD
Four candidates have filled for North Hopkins ISD’s board of trustees election, to occupy two positions. Incumbents Ellis Dicus incumbent and Robert McPherson have filed to retain their seats. Michael James and Jennifer Harrington have filed to run against Dicus and McPherson.
