While summer feels like it’s going strong, one summer favorite is winding down: tonight is the last night for family movie night at the downtown square.

The city will be screening the Marvel superhero classic Black Panther starting at 8:30 p.m. on the square.

Cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, city manager Marc Maxwell says it’s “good to have it [summer movies] back.”

“One of the first things I noticed when we turned on the fountain is that it’s a low-cost way for a family to have a great time,” Maxwell said. “We made it better by bringing movies into the mix.”

The city urges those of all ages to play, stay, grab something to eat and enjoy Black Panther, Aug. 20 at 8:30 p.m. on the Square.
