Genealogical Society and Historical Society present annual joint meeting

On Sept. 26, the Hopkins County Genealogical Society will present its annual joint meeting with the Hopkins County Historical Society. 

This year the meeting will take place at 7 p.m. in the Winifred Building at Heritage Park. Masks are encouraged, but not required.

Reprising her popular performance from last year, local historian Paula Altenbaumer will be portraying a historical pioneer woman of Hopkins County. 

For the evening she will be Bettie Whitfield King, second  wife of Professor Samuel L. King and an amazing woman in her own right.
