A cold front currently located across Southern Oklahoma will move slowly through the region today, before exiting Central Texas later this evening. Increasing clouds and chances for showers and storms will hold highs between the mid 80s and lower 90s most locales. A few thunderstorms will remain possible behind the cold front through sunset. Locally heavy rainfall across parts of East and Central Texas between 1 to 3 inches may result in a few instances of flooding, mostly of the minor variety. Widespread severe weather isn’t anticipated, however, stronger storms will be capable of very gusty outflow winds, small hail, and frequent lightning.
