Graveside services for William Deckman Goggans, age 74, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 14, 2021 at North Hopkins Cemetery with Bro. Fred Lewis officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Kasen Price, Andrew Vestal, Charlie Vestal, William Vestal, Tate Price, Tim Vestal, David Goggans, and Dudley Goggans. Visitation will be Sunday, June 13, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mr. Goggans passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 at the Watkins-Logan Texas State Veterans Home in Tyler.

Deckman was born March 31, 1947, in Sulphur Springs, the son of James Tommie Goggans and Mary Elizabeth Price Goggans. He married the love of his life, Deana Deaton, on April 29, 1974 in Greenville, Texas, and she survives. Deckman enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1967 as an Aircraft and Engine Mechanic. He serviced, maintained, and repaired B-52, C-118, C-124, and T-28 types of aircraft, serving all his time in Vietnam, and using his leave to travel throughout the world. He purchased his own dairy in 1971 and ran his dairy business for 26 years. He then raised beef cattle and loved being outdoors on his farmland.

Leaving to cherish his memory are his wife Deana, his daughters, Kobie Price and husband Tate of Sulphur Springs, Katie Vestal and husband Tim of Fort Worth, his brothers, David Goggans, and Dudley Goggans and wife Cheryl all of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Rayli and husband Kason Childress, Kasen Price, Lexi Price, Emmi Price all of Sulphur Springs, Andrew Vestal, Charlie Vestal, and William Vestal all of Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his parents,and infant son William Elic Goggans.

In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored by your donation to the Watkins-Logan Texas State Veterans Home, in memory of William Deckman Goggans.
