Early season heat will combine with elevated humidity to push heat index values above 100 across much of North and Central Texas. Actual air temperatures will climb into the 90s with heat index values ranging between 100 and 107 degrees. Young, Stephens and Jack counties will likely see the greatest heat index values with “feel like” temperatures between 105-107 degrees . Areas farther east, should still take heat precautions to limit exposure and reduce the risk of heat exhaustion.
