Ron Welch Sr. Obituary

Ron Welch Sr., age 77, of Sulphur Springs joined his parents, Roland and Lena Welch and his four siblings in the Lords Kingdom on Monday, April 5, 2021 in Sulphur Springs, TX.  A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

Ronald Bruce Welch Sr. was born on March 25, 1944 in Portland, ME to Roland A and Lena Laura (Audet) Welch.  He married Susan Bruce on July 3, 1999 in Sulphur Springs, TX.  Ron retired from the US Navy after a 20-year career.  He also worked as a Tour Bus Driver, was a supervisor for Western ME Transport and as a Supervisor for TRAX of Sulphur Springs.  Ron was a Protestant and accepted Jesus Christ into his heart.  Ron made friends everywhere he went throughout his lifetime, he never met a person he didn’t like. Ron was most passionate about his poetry and was know for his sense of humor and great jokes. 

Awaiting to join him are his wife, Susan; sister, Ginny Hillock; children, Ronald B. Welch Jr., Roland E. Welch, Rebecca L. (Welch) Kirian, Raymond R. Welch, Roxanne L. (Welch) Hall, Randy T. Hansen, Gena L. Hansen; 21 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and best friends Buster and Zeus.
