Abundant sunshine will bring warmer temperatures today with highs from the lower 70s in East Texas to the lower 80s across a few areas west of US-281. South winds will increase to between 10-20 mph, with gusts in excess of 30 mph across areas along and west of I- 35. In addition, humidity values across western North Texas and southwestern Central Texas will range between 15% and 25%. The warm, breezy, and dry conditions will combine with dry grasses and small vegetation across these areas for elevated fire weather conditions this afternoon.
