Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Man for Stealing $2500 Worth of Items from Main St Business on Saturday Morning

A 48 year old Sulphur Springs man was arrested on Saturday morning for stealing $2500 worth of property from a business on Main Street.

Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Dennis Findley reported seeing a man on camera stealing items from Bright Star Antiques at 1205 Main St and HCSO was dispatched to the scene.

Officers located Meo Medina walking down the railroad tracks in the 100 block of Main St.

Medina admitted to taking an antique rooster but said he put it down because it was too heavy to carry

Investigator Findley informed Medina he had witnessed him take other property in addition to the rooster and placed him under arrest.

Medina was transported to Hopkins County Jail and charged with charged with theft of property valued at $2,500-$30,000.
