Sulphur Springs Man Electrocuted While Feeding Feed Silo in Upshur County

A Sulphur Springs man was electrocuted after his truck came in contact with a power line in Upshur County on Wednesday morning.

Quinton Lipscomb, 52, was operating a boom truck with a lift, and was loading grain into a silo, according to KLTV.
The vehicle became electrified when it came in contact with a power line above the silo.
Lipscomb’s body was located next to the feed truck.
According to KLTV, “Deputies theorize that Lipscomb may have tried to jump from the truck after it struck the wires, providing an electrical pathway to the ground, and electrocuting him.”
