Cumby Woman Arrested for Allegedly Throwing Knife at Stepdaughter During Altercation

A 42 year old Cumby woman was arrested on Sunday afternoon for allegedly throwing a knife at her stepdaughter during an altercation.

HCSO was dispatched to FM 275 S in reference to a disturbance with reports of an assault. HCSO made contact with the victim and the suspect, Norma Lilia Nunez, on the scene.

During the investigation it was learned that Nunez displayed two knives during the altercation and allegedly threw one of them at her stepdaughter.

Nunez claimed she threw the knife down on the ground in front of her. The knife was located in the vicinity of sunglasses that fell of the victim’s head during the altercation.

Nunez was placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and transported to Hopkins County Jail.
