Off Duty DPS Trooper Witnesses Sulphur Springs Man Assault Female Inside Vehicle in Chick-fil-A Parking Lot

A 35 year old Sulphur Springs man was arrested by Sulphur Springs PD on Monday night after an off duty DPS Trooper witnessed him assault a female inside of his vehicle in the Chick-fil-A parking lot.

SSPD received a 911 call from the trooper at 8:27 p.m. stating that he’d witnessed the assault.

The suspect was located by SSPD at a residence on Carter St. Injuries were observed on the victim.

The suspect was taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor Assault Causing Bodily Injury.
