Driver and Passenger of Truck That Slid Off Bridge Into Lake Fork Identified

The driver of the truck has been identified as 61 year old Mary Jan Dunham of Yantis. The passenger was 57 year old Joe Dell Henderson of Quitman.

DPS Troopers responded at 4:39 p.m. on Tuesday to reports of a crash on FM 2296.

According to KLTV, “The investigator’s preliminary report indicates that the vehicle was traveling southeast on FM 2966 at a speed unsafe for the roadway conditions.  The driver lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the road to the south into the ditch and then into Lake Fork (Caney Creek) where the vehicle was submerged.”
