Suspect in Sunday’s Police Pursuit Through Hopkins and Hunt Counties Eludes Law Enforcement in Fog

DPS officers checking out yesterday’s damage from the early morning pursuit.

 

An early morning pursuit on Sunday left DPS, Hopkins County, Hunt County and Commerce PD searching for a black Nissan Altima that refused to pull over. The driver eventually eluded officers due to the fog.

The suspect vehicle was traveling Westbound in the Eastbound lanes of I-30 before jumping the “Emergency Vehicle Turnaround” crashing into the sign around the 108 mile marker. The driver continued onto the North Service Road before escaping into the fog.
This vehicle at one point in time was Eastbound in the Westbound lanes of I-30, nearly hitting several vehicles head on.

The suspect vehicle officers are looking for will be a Black Nissan Altima with drivers side front end damage. Contact your local law enforcement agency with any information you have on this case.
