Jeffery Lynn Loggins, 60, passed away at home in Cumby on Jan. 20, 2021, following complications from surgery. He was born Feb. 8, 1960, in Denton, Texas, to parents James Clifford Loggins and Louise Armstrong Loggins.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years Holly Horton Loggins of Cumby; a daughter, Amanda Gilmour of Emerald Isle, South Carolina; two sons, Garrett Loggins of Haltom City and James Loggins of Austin; five grandchildren; mother Louise Loggins of Sulphur Springs; two sisters, Cindy Loggins Wise and Vickie Loggins Robinson, and two brothers, Jim Loggins and David Loggins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeff attended Sulphur Springs High School and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. in 1978 at age 18 and was honorably discharged in 1981 after an overseas tour. He returned to Texas and had a 40-career in underground utility construction, including TXU and most recently  SJ Louis Construction in Mansfield, TX.

Jeff was a member of First Baptist Church in Commerce, Texas.

A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 24, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at West Oaks Funeral Home, 500 S. Hillcrest Drive, in Sulphur Springs, to be followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. A private family burial will take place at Lake Creek Cemetery.
