Memorial service for Archie Mitchell, age 65, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Judge Newsom officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mr. Mitchell passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at his home.

Archie was born on May 24, 1955, in Clarksville, TX, to Archie Milton and Shirley Ruth (Mabry) Mitchell.  He married Jennifer Mitchell on May 1, 2004 in Sulphur Springs and together they started Archie Mitchell Trucking in 2010.  He loved his children but loved his grandchildren even more.  He had a passion for trucking and his motorcycles.

He is survived by his step-mother, Kathy Mitchell; wife, Jennifer; daughters, Staci Clayton and husband, Brandon of Sulphur Springs, Amanda Johnson and husband, Anthony of Longview, Jessica Horne and husband, Zack of Cumby; son, Jody Jackson and wife, Larissa of Artesia, NM; grandchildren, Jesse, Jaedynn, Julian, Alexis, Rylan, MJ, Triston, Tripp, Jade and Jewell; sisters, Margaret Gumm and Family, Wanda (Dale) Pace and family, Tammy (Danny) Huie and family; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Archie was preceded in death by his parents.
