Randy Hall entered the Glory of Heaven on Sunday, December 6, 2020. He was known for his quiet, gentle spirit and his love for the Lord. He was born on June 19 ,1939, to L.L. Hall and Lovice (Biz) Minter Hall.  They preceded him in death.  He was a successful businessman and was the owner/operator of Hall Oil Company, Incorporated for the past 48 years. He took over when his father passed away in 1972. It was a huge part of his life since the age of 12. Randy was also a successful rancher and cattleman. He was in the cattle business all his life, taking great pride in taking care of cattle and raising good ones. After graduating from Sulphur Springs High School in 1957, he went on to attend East Texas State University. He was a member of the National Guard, and a life-long member of First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and usher. He was an Eagle Scout and served on the Board of Directors of City National Bank.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruthmary Jackson, whom he loved dearly. It was his delight to take care of her, and he did it very well. He was the true example of a Godly husband.  Also surviving are his three daughters, Randa Massey, Ruanne Horton and Heath, and Rori Stroud and Keith. Five grandchildren, Jackson Massey, Clancy Horton, Annie Horton, Sadie Stroud, and Ty Stroud. He loved watching them play ball, rope calves and steers, and show cattle, hogs, and sheep. They were all his true pride and joy. He wanted for nothing but wanted them to have it all.

Randy was the head of the family. His passing leaves a huge void. He also leaves a wonderful legacy, one that is characterized by his love for his Lord. Christ was his direction and at the center of every decision. He lived well and he loved much.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 10, 2020 at First Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., prior to service time. Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery with Heath Horton, Keith Stroud, Jackson Massey, Clancy Horton, Ty Stroud, and Bill Nance serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be David Dildy, Mike Hodge, Francis Pogue, Rip Van Winkle, GW Gibbins, Don Phillips, Don Deaton, Wayne Gayleon, and John Folmar. The family would like to give a special thanks to Samuel Felli and Shmyra Fountain for all of their love and care shown to our dad while he was in the hospital. Memorials may be made to the Gideons or any charity of your choice.
