Hopkins County Jail Inmate In Custody for Indecency with Child Assaults Three Members of Jail Staff

An inmate being held at Hopkins County Jail for Indecency with a Child has received additional charges after assaulting three members of the jail staff, according to arrest reports.

Three corrections officers were attempting to remove 27 year old Jacob Wyatt Burgess from his cell in order to clean it when he began fighting with them.  Burgess allegedly struck all three officers with his hands and feet during the altercation.

Three additional charges of Assault of a Public Servant were added to Burgess’ current charges of Indecency with a Child and Assault Causes Bodily Injury.
