A cold front will move into our region later today, with gusty northwest winds expected west of this front. To the east, widespread showers and a few thunderstorms will develop over East Texas. Severe weather is not expected, though some occasional cloud- to-ground lightning strikes can be expected. Highs will range from the upper 40s (north) to lower 60s (south).

Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 3pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 3pm and 5pm, then a chance of rain after 5pm. Patchy fog before 3pm. High near 51. East southeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
