Spraggins Wins Place 5 on Sulphur Springs City Council. Julian and Bradley Headed for Run-Off for Place 1.

Voters elected two new city councilmen, one incumbent councilman, and the race for Place 1 is headed for a run-off.

Gary Spraggins defeated Ricardo Chavarria in the race for Place 5. Spraggins won 71% of the vote.

Jay Julian and Mark Bradley are headed to a run-off for Place 1. Julian received 43% of the vote and Bradley finished second with nearly 25% of votes. Vanessa Diosdado and Justin Brown received 22% and 7% of the vote. A date for the run-off has not been set.

Oscar Aguilar returns to the council with a win in an uncontested race for Place 3. Incumbent Harold Nash Sr. won Place 2 in an uncontested race.
