Funeral service for Mary Alice Fleenor, age 86, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at First Baptist Church- Spence Chapel, Sulphur Springs with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Interment to follow at Brigham Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Fleenor passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Broadmoor Medical Lodge, Rockwall, TX.
Mary Alice was born on January 21, 1934 in Thorton, Texas to Melvin and Clara (Rasco) Cox. She married Glenn Fleenor on February 27, 1952 in Weatherford, TX. Mary Alice was a Collections Supervisor for AT&T and Southwestern Bell for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Sulphur Springs.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Glenn; daughter, Glenda Fleenor Shetler and husband, Dwight of Austin, TX; son, Steve Fleenor and wife, Catherine of Rockwall; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Neal Cox of The Colony.
Mary Alice was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brad Fleenor; sister, Jenny Long; brothers, Melvin Cox Jr. and Grover Cox.
