Frances “Nanny” Wilks Obituary

Funeral service for Frances “Nanny” Wilks, age 86, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Pastor Quentin Long officiating.  Interment to follow at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, October 18, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. 

Frances Evelyn was born on January 8, 1934 in Hopkins County, TX to Tommy and Florence Brown.  She married Billy Wilks in Sulphur Springs in 1950.  She worked at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital and was a member of Trinity Harvest Church of God. 

She is survived by her sons, Billy Wayne Wilks and wife, Kathy; Morris Wilks and wife, Tammy; grandchildren, Lisa Marie (Pete) Darlin, Christa (Ryan) Henson, Cameron Wilks; great grandson, Jace Anderton.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Melba Sue Wilks; brothers, Lloyd, Ernest, and Earl Brown; sister, Opal Simpson.
