A Wolfe City police officer has been placed on administrative leave following an officer involved fatal shooting on Saturday.
The victim was shot after Wolfe City Police Department officers responded to reports of a disturbance at Kwik Check at approximately 8:25 pm. WCPD reported shots fired shortly after.
Hunt County Sheriff’s Office, Wolfe City Fire, and Hunt County EMS responded to the scene.
The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Jonathan Price of Wolfe City.
Wolfe City PD said in a statement, “On October 3, 2020 an Officer involved shooting occurred in Wolfe City. The Officer has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation of this matter by the Texas Rangers. No further information is available for release at this time.”
