Special Crimes Unit Arrests Suspect with 18 Grams of Meth and 5 Pounds of Weed After Short Foot Pursuit

Sulphur Springs Police Department Special Crimes Unit arrested a suspected drug dealer after a short foot chase on Wednesday.

SCU was surveilling a residence for suspected narcotics sales when the suspect left the residence in a vehicle. SCU attempted a traffic stop and then the driver exited the vehicle to flee on foot.
Adam Joshua Hodges was arrested after a short pursuit that ended on Morris Drive. Lt. Estes, Det. Sgt. Scott, and SSPD Officer Hoffman apprehended the suspect.
A search of the vehicle recovered approximately 18 grams of methamphetamine, almost 5 pounds of marijuana, and hydrocodone pills.
Hodges was taken into custody and transferred to Hopkins County Jail.
