Judge Orders Hunt County COVID-19 Patient Violating Quarantine to Stay Home

A Hunt County COVID-19 patient that has violated their quarantine was ordered to stay home by Judge Andrew Bench.

On July 1, 2020, Hunt County filed suit against the individual for “repeatedly and intentionally violated the quarantine rules”. The County sought a judicial order requiring that the individual in question by confined to their home until they test negative for COVID-19.
A hearing was held on Monday morning and Judge Bench issued the order in favor of the county. The individual is required to test negative for coronavirus before they will be allowed to leave their home again.
