Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office Discovers PCP During I-30 Traffic Stop

Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 37 year old Desoto man yesterday after discovering PCP in his vehicle during a traffic stop.

A HCSO deputy made the traffic stop near the 117 mile marker on I-30.

The deputy observed a marijuana cigarette in the driver’s lap when the deputy made contact with the occupants of the vehicle.

A probable cause search of the vehicle uncovered 3 small brown viles with a liquid substance believed to be PCP. 

The driver, Jonathan Jones Carlock, claimed ownership of the narcotic.

Carlock was transported to Hopkins County Jail on four outstanding warrants along with being charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
