Mark 7:8,13
8 You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men.”
13 thus making void the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And many such things you do.”

Many Christians look at the current state of the world today and breathe a hopeless sigh wondering how things could have become as bad as they have. All the while, failing to accept any responsibility as a believer for things getting this bad in the first place. The world didn’t just fall into the state it’s in by accident. Christians by and large, through complacency and lack of passion, have stopped advancing the Gospel, the remaining void has been filled with the carnal and the demonic. Somewhere along the way, believers started settling for having church and stopped being the church. Think about it. The tradition of attending worship services took the place of living a lifestyle of worship causing Christianity to be confined to the four walls of a building. The power that once filled every believer gradually weakened to the point of ineffective lip service. There is good news, however. When those who profess to being Christians choose to wake up, stand up, shut up and live up to what a true believer in Christ should really be and look like, the world will take notice and be drawn back to the Father. Even those most ignorant of the Gospel will recognize the power and authority carried by someone who exercises their faith in the Word. It worked for Jesus and it will work for you. Don’t settle for a living powerless life only experiences God though a Sunday worship service. God has far more greater and for more reaching plans for you than that. It time to stop being a ‘traditional’ Christian and start walking out the life that the Word says you can live. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
