On Monday, May 25th, 2020 Melba Knight (Miller), loving wife and mother of 4 passed away in Paris, Texas at the age of 74 after battling a lengthy illness.

Melba was born on August 3rd, 1945 in Arthur City, Tx to Ollie Miller and Vina Miller (Ballew). She was a loving wife and mother. Melba prided herself in her children and grandchildren. She loved pets and cooking, making the best dressing. Melba loved spending time with her family and friends, especially during the holidays. She liked to dress up and loved makeup, enjoyed listening to and singing country music. Melba enjoyed visiting places such as the State Fair, Zoo, Flea Markets, Park and lakes to picnic, Museums, etc. Her favorite drink was cold Dr. Pepper. She was a member of the Baptist faith and spent most of her life as a hard-working housewife and mother.
Melba is survived by her children Cliff Watts and wife Jennifer of Sulphur Bluff, Tx. Richard Hankins and wife Shelia of Sulphur Bluff. Michelle Benefield and husband Gene of Shady Shores, Tx. Catherine Prestonwood and husband Gary of Alabama, 4 grandchildren Ryan Watts, Jacob Watts, Lesa Prestwood, Gary Prestwood JR, 9 great grandchildren, and Niece. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas J. Knight, sister Naomi Pasty Leary. Private family service to be held.
