Graveside service for Joe E Kenney, age 91, of Wills Point, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on, Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Arbala Cemetery with sons and grandsons serving as pallbearers. Come and go visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel during business hours. Mr. Kenney passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020 at his residence in Wills Point, TX.
Joe E Kenney was born June 30, 1928 in Wapanucka, OK to Bascom and Stella Kenney. He married Melinda Kenney in Garland, TX on October 9, 1970. He worked at a warehouse as a foreman. Joe was a member of the Seymore Church of Christ and AARP chapter 1313.
Mr. Kenney is survived by his wife, Melinda Kenney; children, Lynn Kenney and wife, Tina, of Garland, TX, Mary Jones and husband, Chuck, of Scurry, TX, Rita Ray and husband, Jerry, of Wills Point, TX, Cathy Nix and husband, Mark Glasgow, of Wolfe City, Sharon Mitchell, of Naples, TX, Douglas Haren, of Wills Point, TX, Gary Haren and wife, Kim, of Royse City; sister, Lavell Hayles, of Waxahachie, TX; numerous grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elbert Kenney, Nathan Kenney, Alton Kenney; sister, Clarene Dulin.
