John 6:9
“There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?”

Everyone has been there, that place of lack and insufficiency. Whether be financially, physically or mentally, at some point not a person who has lived hasn’t dealt with the insecurity that comes from not having or being enough to meet the requirements of certain situations and circumstances that life brings. Those humiliating moments when you realize that what you have or who you are doesn’t measure up to the need that you’re facing. When times like these come, the challenge is to keep your focus on who the Lord is and not on what you possess or how well you feel like you measure up to the challenge you’re facing. Consider this perspective. Whenever you have something, but it is not sufficient, maybe it’s a seed that needs to be entrusted to the Source. Just like the little boy’s lunch was in no way enough to feed what was most likely close to twenty thousand people, Jesus saw it as more than enough. You see, Jesus is unable to multiply what you do not recognize. When you come to place of realizing that you or your resources don’t measure up, don’t disqualify them, sow them. Offering to Him what you have available enables Him to make it into what you need. Jesus doesn’t allow talents or possessions to determine whether someone is fit for use. He determines usefulness through recognition and surrender. What are you facing right now that you aren’t qualified to handle? Take stock of what you have, offer it to the Lord, and let Him turn what you have into all that you need. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
