Private graveside service for Mary Beatrice Dougherty, age 95, of Sulphur Springs will be held Saturday in Dougherty Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.

Mrs. Dougherty passed away peacefully in her sleep at her residence with her family beside her in Sulphur Springs, TX.Bea was born on April 27, 1925 in Emory, TX to W.J. and Nealie Fitzgerald Pennebaker. She married Leo Dougherty in Emory, TX on July 17, 1944. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughter: Susan Miesse and husband Mike; her three grandchildren: Christopher Miesse, Courtney Singleton and husband Brian, and Jordan Miesse; and her 10 great-grandchildren:Jackson Miesse, Jocelyn Miesse, Juliette Miesse, Peyton Miesse, PaigeMiesse, Parker Singleton, Presleigh Singleton, Prestyn Singleton, Emerson Miesse and Malone Miesse. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, her sister Geneva Regan, and her brother Jim Pennebaker.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Southside Church of Christ missionarywork, P.O. Box 271, Sulphur Springs, TX 75483. Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home. www.westoaksfuneralhome.com
