2 Kings 6:17
Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

While most people will acknowledge that there is a spiritual realm, they don’t consider it the ‘real world’. The real world to most people is the physical realm that they experience through their physical senses. Thus, they operate accordingly. This is why the miracles, signs and wonders that were so prevalent in the life of Jesus aren’t as common in the lives of most believers. Jesus, while on this earth, showed what it meant to live in the spiritual world while physically walking here on the earth. His consciousness of the ‘real world’ is what made Him so effective in this world. Those who truly have a grasp on the spiritual can overcome any thing that the physical may bring against them. This doesn’t mean that you walk around being weird and flakey, it means that you know where the battle is taking place. Just like Elisha had a consciousness, knowing of how and where to fight His battles, you too will experience true life and victory when you put your time and focus on seeing what’s really happening, not just what your physical senses are telling you in the moment. If you’ll ask, the Holy Spirit will show you exactly who you have on your side. Just like He did for Elisha’s servant. For far too long, Christians have been ineffective and misguided because they neglect their eternal life in an effort to be comfortable in their physical life. If you want to be victorious, start seeking things on a deeper level than the physical. The physical world was created out of the spiritual world and the spiritual world will be here long after the physical is gone. It’s time to focus on what’s real…and it’s not always what you see with your eyes. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
